Ilfracombe

Ilfracombe for the shore angler offers good comfortable sport from the recently
renovated harbour/pier area.
Access to this is via locked gates and a permit, both the keys and the permit can be
obtained from the Variety Sports shop.

Beware of the snags from the old pier!
This is underwater at high tide and is to the left of the new pier.

There is parking on both sides of the harbour, but this is quite limited during the
summer months as Ilfracombe is a busy tourist resort.

Away from the harbour area are general rock fishing marks. On the eastern side of the
harbour entrance are rock ledges which are accessible with a bit of a walk,
(see middle photo) so travel light.
