Lyn Marie II         (Grant Dennis)

The only boat sailing from the only Somerset port on Exmoor!

This boat is perfectly comfortable for 6 anglers (but licensed for 9), to enjoy the fantastic Bristol Channel sport. The only charter vessel sailing from the quaint little Somerset port of Porlock Weir, within the Exmoor National Park. She has an advantage of being very close to the preferred fishing marks, and therefore short steaming times to get to them (& that means more fishing time!). The summer black bream and trigger fish are a speciality. Specimen and species hunters will be amazed at the wide range of species available, many only minutes sailing from the harbour. A no fuss, down to earth experience with a like minded angling enthusiast as your skipper.

With all the equipment necessary to fulfil the licensing agencies requirements for 60 mile C.O.P operations, you can be assured of a safe and enjoyable experience afloat.  The boat is a Cheverton, a very good sea-boat due to the very heavy build. They are used by the Royal Navy, UK government agencies, and many harbour authorities around the world, etc, for their excellent sea keeping abilities. She's definitely not a racing snake, but is very strong, safe and capable - just what you need for that enjoyable days fishing. Being right on the doorstep of the best Bristol Channel fishing, there's no need for a rocket propelled boat (keeping the cost down too!).

Ample parking is inexpensive at the very convenient car park next to the harbour. To mull over the days fishing later is even more convivial at The Ship Inn, again right next to the harbour. There are numerous guest houses and hotels in the area allowing an extended stay, Some right next to the harbour, and many more in the village of Porlock  - just ask the skipper for his recommendations.  Click here to visit www.lynmarie2.co.uk for more details.
