Steve has been taking out angling parties from Minehead for over 27 years. Steve is now running a Kingfisher 'Fastcatch 31', powered by a meaty diesel engine. She is a custom modified design, a planing hull for speed, but with a deep keel for stability at anchor. She certainly is sporty!

Previous boats have been the result of his boat-building skills. His was the first of a fleet of ‘Bullet’s’ now familiar at the Somerset ports of Minehead and Watchet. When he was made an offer he couldn’t refuse, Osprey II was sold and now is working out of Milford Haven. Other boats include a Cygnus Cyclone 32, that one was quickly snapped up by a commercial fisherman, so Steve built another Offshore 105. Steve had a twin engined Lochin 33 before his latest creation, but once again, another offer that could not be refused! This one has gone to Newquay to act as a safety boat for a leisure project down there.

The equipment inventory includes GPS, fish finders, radar, radio-telephony, and full safety gear. Easily satisfying the requirements of the licensing authorities, Steve holds all the necessary skippers certificates, is a member of the Professional Boatmans Association and the MBA. The vessel is fully insured for 60 mile COP operations.

So if you want a great trip out, and have some great sport, give Steve a ring.
