This can be a very productive venue. Excellent for Cod and Whiting during
the winter season.
The slipway belongs to Portishead Sailing Club, and if there is sailing in
progress,
or the slipway is in use then you have no chance of fishing from it.
If this is the case and you still want to fish the location then slightly to the
left
is OK, as is the shoreline to the right, but a bit snaggy!
If you can get on the slipway then cast inline with it, on the left side as
this is the
longest section. you will see what we mean at low water.
It is up to you which part of the tide to fish, you can get 3hrs down and
2hrs up
if you're lucky!
Standard beach gear, and a bag of stones to hold the tripod down is a good idea.
